Developed Resources views this holistic approach as a "bodybuilding" lifestyle. Bodybuilding is defined as a lifestyle that is conducive to "increasing (building) ones potential (body)," not attempting to be a professional bodybuilder. There are two important steps to improving a body's appearance, whether its losing body fat or gaining muscle:
- Set obtainable goals; short and long term. Have a written plan; an exercise and nutritional outline of how you are to achieve your goals. This is very simple, yet easy enough to not make the effort. If you do not have a goal, you will probably hit it on target (hitting nothing).
- Have an accurate and consistent method to track your progress. Without this element, you can be very easily discouraged or fooled by your results.
